NOS SILVER WIRES (see below) will now be a standard feature of all DIVA phono, pre and power amplifiers as we managed to obtain adquate supplies of this great-sounding wire. Previously, there was enough wire for only about 30 units. This, together with cosmetic improvements and other recent modifications and upgrades, will result in a slight increase in the price of DIVA amplifiers. For price details, see separate sections on the different amplifiers.
October 2003 VIRTUOSO III While the two-tube VIRTUOSO phono amp offers exceptional performance at a low price, the new VIURUOSO III is for those who seek the highest level of performance possible. It's price remains affordable at US$2280 for MM and high-output MC cartridges, additional US$980 for a step-up transformer to accommodate low-output MC.
November 2002 NOS Silver wiring for DIVA amplifiers DIVA designer T S Lim recently acquired a LIMITED SUPPLY of NOS (new old stock) silver wires that significantly improved the sound of his amplifiers. Earlier experiments with silver wires were less successful. However, this particular batch of wires brought dramatic improvements in:
"The reduction in background noise is really very major," Lim said. "You get the feeling of a sky that is cloudless, a really blue sky." Because stocks are limited - there is enough wire for only about 30 amplifiers - Lim is offering the upgrade to DIVA owners only. Moreover, he cannot guarantee that the same wire will work well in other amplifiers. Each upgrade takes about 3 working days, as it practically involves rebuilding the entire amplifier.
